Select Location: Choose a sunny area that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
Prepare Soil: Remove weeds and loosen the soil to a depth of about 2 inches.
Measure Seed: Use 5 ounces of seeds per 1,000 square feet or 8-16 pounds per acre.
Mix with Sand: Combine seeds with sand to ensure even distribution.
Sow Seeds: Scatter the seed mixture evenly over the prepared soil.
Rake Lightly: Lightly rake the soil to ensure seeds make contact with the soil.
Water: Water the area gently but thoroughly, ensuring the soil is moist but not waterlogged.
Maintain Moisture: Keep the soil consistently moist until seedlings are well established.
Optimal Planting Times: Plant in spring, early summer, or late fall for best results.
