I found this article on Cellulite recently and wanted to share it.

The Mlis Body Contour Wrap offered at Sesen Skin Care is a great treatment in helping to remove toxins associated with cellulite as well.

WHAT IS CELLULITE?

Myth

Only Overweight and Obese People have Cellulite

Fact

Many people that are at, or below, a healthy weight with unhealthy diets and lifestyle habits also experience cellulite.

Myth

Drinking Lots of Water Can Worsen Cellulite

Fact

Drinking several ounces of water per day is best for overall health maintenance. Since one of the causes of cellulite is said to be excess toxins trapped in the connective tissue, plenty of water intakes actually keep the body properly hydrated and helps flush away toxins and retained water. Also poor circulation has been another cause of cellulite and if around 80% of our blood is composed of water and we are dehydrated that blood will be a lot thicker thus harder to circulate.

Myth

Diet has No Effect on Cellulite Reduction

Fact

Caucasian women are more prone to cellulite than Asian women. This may be due to the general Asian diet being lower in saturated fat and less acidic, whereas Westerners consume more processed food.

What is cellulite?

It is not fat, but rather a toxic body condition combined with edema and a lack of circulation. Cellulite can be described as a condition of uneven deposits of toxins, water and waste material that become trapped just below the skins surface and create pockets within the connective tissue which causes the visible dimpled texture of the skin.

In order to permanently eliminate cellulite, you must start at the source of the toxic body and detoxify internally. If you have a toxic colon and are hampering the elimination of toxins you will always have cellulite. The M’lis Contour Program will not only promote the reduction of cellulite but also help prevent its formation.

Contributors to cellulite:

  • Toxic lifestyle
  • Lack of exercise
  • Crash dieting followed by weight gain
  • Not drinking enough water
  • Increased hormonal activity
  • Over-cooked, fatty food
  • Stress
  • Drugs, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine
  • Excess weight
  • Constipation
